WHAT IS White Ink
White ink is an excellent alternative to white foil since it creates a clean, matte finish. This finishing is available on all luxury and premium paper stocks and all plastic stocks. White ink is a great option for more intricate and detailed designs and has an especially brilliant finish on our soft and hard suede stocks. Although it is not as opaque as our white foil, the overall finish of white ink is a much more accurate representation of the design.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
● White ink is semi-translucent; it will appear more opaque on our coated paper cardstocks (silk or suede)
● White ink is a better option than white foil for detailed designs
● Debossing and embossing can be used in combination with white ink
● Slight alignment variations may occur between white ink and other print finishings (i.e. Foil stamping, UV printing, debossing, embossing)
● If you are combining white ink with UV printing on our plastic cards, please note that a full bleed layer of white ink will be printed to prevent alignment issues
● White Ink can be used to reduce the translucency of our plastic cardstocks, however it cannot make them 100% opaque.
